  3. My goal is to get consistent with exercising and to eat less and more healthily. I hope to loose weight in that process as well but I am most interested in a life style change.

  4. My short term goal is to lose 20 pounds by my 20th Wedding Anniversary March 29th. I strive to accomplish this goal by doing four hours of cardio a week, an hour and a half of weight lifting a week, logging my food intake and reminding myself what Kate Moss said: "Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels." I know how I felt before and I know I can do this as I have already lost 80 lbs.

  6. Ok - My goal is to lose 6 Lbs this week! I lost about 5 or so last week. It would be awesome to do the same or better this week! I am working hard at it! I hope this head cold feeling doesn't make me to dizzy! I want to work out like the BL contestants - for a few hrs. at least for 1 day this week. I will probably do a few things throughout the day instead of dedicate 2 full hrs or something!

  7. So Sally... How's the 5k prep coming? Feb 5th is just around the corner! What are you doing to get you ready for it?

  8. My goal is to get my weight down at least 35 lbs so my feet, legs, hips, body are healthier and I can live longer. It would be great if I could actually lose my diabetes.

  9. Well, my 5K went good. As I ran up all the hills I thought to my self... "um, I don't think I was quite prepared enough for this!" But I made it - felt like puking near the end, and prayed that my legs wouldn't give out coming down some of the hills, but I made it!
As for weight loss, I expected to do better because of the 5K, but I was so worried near the end of the week that I would over exert myself that I didn't do much at all Thurs and friday. I was also getting sick, luckily sat morning I was ok. I hit a rough patch and now I'm picking it all back up and sticking to my original goals and getting my original desire back! :)

  11. ok so the last weight in i didnt lose any weight and it up set me so i started a new diet because i have the excercise thing down. i found that i realy like to eat egg white and honey wheat toast i eat it almaost every morning but be sides what i eat i make sure to have a when i eat i was watch a show about a woman that weighed 600 lbs and she only eat one meal a day which in doing so have has made her matabalisom not work properly if at all so they put her on a diet were she eat meals through out the day and she lost 30lbs in the first week but i know thats not posiable or heathy for my to lose that much in a week. so that got me thinking i would only eat like 2 meals a day so maybe my matabalisom is not working right. so i started to plan out when i was going to eat and i have to eat breakfast it real is the most imporant meal of the day. so my day goes like this i eat breakfast at 9 a.m i know it seem late but thats about the time i wake up at 11 a.m. i have a low calori snake you know somthing under 150 calories at 1:30p.m. i eat a big healthy lunch that way i am not eating my biggest meal before bed and i have a chance to burn more calories at 3:30 p.m. i have another low calorie meal. and at 5:30 or 6 p.m. i eat dinner not a big dinner but a good size maybe a salad with chicken or a 6 inch foot long from subway lol thats what i eat yesterday lol but i have been doing this with my excersise and it is working so great just you wiat and see at the next weigh in its so great i love it

  12. Planning on doing a 5K with the whole family on March 11th. Our oldest son Colby was in a serious motorcycle accident at the end of August and has only been able to walk for a short time, but he will be walking with us, so it is a big milestone for all of us.

  14. I want to Run a 10 K by Summer and I would LOVE to plan on a 1/2 Marathon by this fall or January 2012... Anyone up for it with me? I think I'll have to travel somewhere warm for fall or winter season 1/2 Marathon. Where are a few places that have one that would be warm and fun - and not too expensive to get to? Anoyone know?

  15. Bec and I are planning to run a half marathon next month, mid April. We are going to map out a course around our neighborhood. The races around here are not convient for our schedule so this will help. We are also thinking of making T-Shirts for it so we have something to show for the effort. We have been running 3.5 - 4 miles 3 - 5 days a week and a little longer run on the weekend. We are going to have to step it up a bit to be ready for this. We are also planning to run in the Deseret News Marathon in July in Salt Lake City. Happy running to you all. Always remember to go at your own pace and stay healthy!

  16. i have a new goal. this weekend we went to the renaissance festival and there is a real fun trampoline thing that makes you go really high your attached to bunge cords and you go so high and you can do flips it looked so fun but the weight limit was 180lbs so i couldn't go on it. so my goal is that i lose enough weight to go on that ride next year witch means i need to lose 50 more pounds by next year i think i can do it

  19. On Saturday I ran the farthest distance I have ever run... yet. I ran a 10K - but it was just a run, not a race with other people etc. I have decided to Run a 10K in May and I will be running a 1/2 marathon in October (Or there-abouts) There is a fun one called the Halloween Half that is in Provo... sounds like fun! The idea has even been tossed around to do a full Marathon on December! Holy Moly! It seems like it would be something so un-attainable but now that I have been training and following a running program it seems actually attainable!
I am excited and can't wait for some better weather so I can run without a coat.

  21. I forgot to say, I just signed up for the Provo Halloween 1/2 marathon. It's on Oct. 29th and should be tons of fun, you dress up in costume for it and everything - I love that because I love Halloween! Anyone want to sign up with me???

  22. Anita, I am so excited for the half marathon! I need to get signed up!!
Also, I started weight watchers again. I became a lifetime member after Emily was 1 yr old so now it's free for me!
My advice to anyone who really wants to join and who is currently on a good weight loss streak... do it now, sign up now so that you can join while you are already losing weight. You just set a goal (10% of your weight) and then when you reach your goal you are a.lifetime meber and it's free forever after that! Unless you go above your goal again, then it is like $9 each time until you are back under your goal.
Anyway, I love to feel in control! Plus almost all fruits and most vegetables are 0 points.
Here is hoping for the last 10-15 lbs to go away!!
